Caramelized Onion & Feta Tart

Method

  1. Sauté onion in the olive oil for 15 minutes, until golden and caramelized. Keep the temperature low to prevent the onions from burning.
  2. Brush both sides of bread with olive oil.
  3. Line a square baking dish with the bread.
  4. Top with the onions and sprinkle feta over.
  5. Mix egg and cream together.
  6. Pour egg mixture over bread, onion and feta.
  7. Bake at 180° C for 15 – 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 7 slices Sasko Everyday Brown, crusts removed, sliced in half
  • 100 g Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 20 ml Olive oil, for brushing
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Onions, thinly sliced
  • 125 ml Fresh cream
  • 50 ml Olive oil
  • 15 ml Rosemary, chopped
