Caramelized Onion & Feta Tart
Method
- Sauté onion in the olive oil for 15 minutes, until golden and caramelized. Keep the temperature low to prevent the onions from burning.
- Brush both sides of bread with olive oil.
- Line a square baking dish with the bread.
- Top with the onions and sprinkle feta over.
- Mix egg and cream together.
- Pour egg mixture over bread, onion and feta.
- Bake at 180° C for 15 – 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 7 slices Sasko Everyday Brown, crusts removed, sliced in half
- 100 g Feta cheese, crumbled
- 20 ml Olive oil, for brushing
- 2 Eggs
- 3 Onions, thinly sliced
- 125 ml Fresh cream
- 50 ml Olive oil
- 15 ml Rosemary, chopped
