Hamburger Selection
Method
Healthy Burger
- Shallow fry patties in hot oil with sliced onion until cooked, drain on absorbent paper.
- Fill buns with patties, cheese, onion, beetroot and sprouts (optional).
Chilli Burger with Barbecue Sauce
- Mix together the mince, onion, chilli powder, oregano, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, bread crumbs and egg. Shape into 4 patties.
- Heat the oil in a thick bottomed frying pan and fry the patties on both sides till brown.
- Keep warm.
- Butter hamburger halves.
- Arrange cut lettuce on buns, place the patties on top.
- Spoon Barbecue sauce on top.
- Sprinkle chopped green pepper on top of each burger.
Barbecue Sauce
- Combine all ingredients. Mix well.
- Use in filling of hamburger.

- 2 medium Onions, sliced
- 4 Sasko Jumbo Sesame Bun, halved
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese
- 125 g Alfalfa sprouts (optional)
- 2 Fresh beetroot, grated

- 400 g Minced beef
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 5 ml Chilli powder
- 3 ml Dried oregano
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 5 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 30 ml Bread crumbs
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 15 ml Oil
- 30 ml Sasko Jumbo Sesame Bun, halved
- 125 ml Butter/Margarine
- 1 Lettuce, sliced
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 1 medium Green pepper, chopped
Chilli Sauce
- 125 ml Tomato sauce
- 1 small Red pepper, finely chopped
- 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ml Chilli powder
