Seared tuna, cream cheese and tomato salsa sandwich
Method
- Whisk all marinade ingredients with a whisk and then marinade fresh tuna for at least 1 hour.
- Cook tuna in a pan over very high heat just sealing the outside leaving the centre of the tuna rare.
- Once cooked, slice the fish. Cut the salsa ingredients and mix. Season with salt and pepper.
- Take two slices of bread and spread each slice with creamed cheese.
- Top both slices with watercress and then the cooked tuna. Close sandwich with the remaining slices.
Ingredients
- 4 slices Sasko Traditional Whole Wheat
- 250g fresh tuna steak
- 1 packet watercress
- 1 tub smooth creamed cheese
Tuna marinade
- 50ml olive oil
- 20ml honey
- 30ml sweet soya sauce
- 10ml crushed ginger
- 1 tsp chillies, chopped
- 15ml chopped coriander
- 30ml sweet chilli sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Salsa:
- 1 avocado, finely chopped
- ¼ red onion, finely chopped
- ¼ pineapple, finely chopped
- 12 large rosa tomatoes, each cut into 8 cubes
- 30ml coriander, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- lemon juice from a ¼ lemon
