Summer Sizzler

Method

  1. Place minced beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, sweet chilly sauce and tomato sauce in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Break the bread slices into the milk, crumble, allow to soak and add to the meat.
  3. Season with salt and pepper. Mix through gently.
  4. Shape mixture into 6 meat patties.
  5. Fry patties in a little olive oil for 7 minutes on both sides, or until cooked to taste.
  6. Lightly toast and butter the buns.
  7. Spread a generous amount of cheese spread on the bun.
  8. Place a patty on top and garnish with lettuce, tomato and onion slices.

Ingredients

  • 6 Sasko Regular Plain Bun
  • 500 g Lean beef, finely minced
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 5 ml Garlic, finely chopped
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 ml Sweet chilli sauce
  • 15 ml Tomato sauce
  • 2 slices UNCLE SALIE WHOLEWHEAT BREAD
  • 50 ml Milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • 40 ml Butter or margarine for spreading
  • 60 ml Cheese spread
  • Lettuce, sliced tomatoes and onions for garnishing
