Tuna Quiche

Method

  1. Heat bread, butter/margarine and milk in a saucepan sufficient to create a soft mixture. Cool.
  2. Press tuna with a fork into a fine mixture.
  3. Beat eggs till foamy and lightly fold in the tuna mixture, onion, tomato, cheese and parsley.
  4. Add the soft bread mixture and salt. Lightly stir in the baking powder.
  5. Bake at 180° C for 20 – 25 minutes till golden brown and puffed.
  6. Serve immediately or allow to cool and serve cold.

Variation

  1. *Replace tuna with chicken or bacon and add mushrooms. Suitable for home freezing.

  • 6 slices Sasko Everyday White
  • 30 ml Butter/margarine
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 1 Tin Tuna
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 medium Tomato, cut into small cubes
  • 250 ml Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 Eggs
  • 30 ml Parsley
  • 5 ml Baking powder
  • 1 ml Salt
